Terms of Service

Effective date: 21 June 2026  ·  Last updated: 21 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of Remote Coding (“we”, “us”, the “Service”), operated by the Remote Coding team, at remote-coding.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Remote Coding lets you reach the command-line terminals on your own computer from a web browser. You install an agent on a machine you own; we relay your keystrokes to it and stream its output back over an encrypted connection. Your commands run on your machine, not ours. We are a relay — we do not control, supervise, or execute the work that happens on your PC.

2. Eligibility & your account

You must be 16 or older and able to form a binding contract. You’re responsible for your account, your Google sign-in, and your private pairing token — keep them secure. You’re responsible for everything that happens through your account and on the machines you connect.

3. AI agents, “bypass permissions”, and autonomous tools — your responsibility.
Remote Coding can be used to run AI coding agents and other tools on your machine — for example Claude Code, Codex, or similar — including in autonomous, “auto-approve”, or “bypass permissions” modes where the tool acts without confirming each step. You understand and agree that: Use these capabilities with the same caution you would at your own keyboard. If in doubt, leave step-by-step confirmation on.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: connect to machines you don’t own or aren’t authorized to control; break the law; infringe others’ rights; distribute malware; attack, overload, or probe the Service or others; resell or share access in violation of your plan; or attempt to access another user’s account, agent, sessions, or data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service.

5. Plans, billing & refunds

6. Your content & data

The contents of your terminals and files stay on your machine; we don’t store them (see our Privacy Policy). You retain all rights to your code and data. You grant us only the limited, technical permission needed to relay your sessions to your own devices while you use the Service.

7. Service availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis and may be unavailable, interrupted, or changed at any time. We don’t guarantee any particular uptime, and we’re not liable for downtime, data loss on your machine, or missed work. Keep your own backups.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remote Coding will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, or work — including anything caused by commands, scripts, or AI agents you run through the Service (see §3). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, or US $50.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Account → Delete my account, or email us). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Uninstalling the agent ends the connection to that machine immediately.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; we’ll revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Remote Coding’s place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions: [email protected].
